WAREHOUSING SPECIALIST

Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States, and around the world. We have state-of-the-art potato processing plants in Prince Edward Island, Lethbridge, Alberta, and Jamestown, North Dakota, and an appetizer plant in Wheatley, Ontario. Our Head office is in Dieppe, New Brunswick and has sales office locations in Toronto, Montreal, and Boston.

Reporting to the Warehousing Manager, the Warehousing Specialist must thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism, accuracy and detail. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a “can do” attitude. The successful candidate will play a key role in the Supply Chain Department at Cavendish Farms and will be responsible for supporting the business and out warehousing capacity – working closely with both internal and external customers.

Successful Candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • University degree or College diploma preferred;
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Warehousing, Supply Chain and/or Logistics;
  • Team player with excellent customer service and strong communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite of applications;
  • Attention to detail, data integrity, and accuracy;
  • Experience in Mercury Gate or similar TMS Systems would be an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Support (internal and external customers);
    • Coordinate Warehouse network capacity and constraints
    • Facilitate product movement to meet service level agreements
    • Coordinate with Warehouses to ensure deliveries & Service
  • Support & Implement Operational Warehouse Standards
    • Manage Warehouse Claim process
    • Coordinate Third Party-Logistics (3PL) holiday schedules
  • Perform Monthly Business reviews with Key Warehouses
    • Update supplier information as needed
    • Performance reviews that identify key opportunities, challenges, and trends
    • Support Implementation Service Level Agreement with Key Business Partners
  • Other duties as assigned
