QA Developer

Summary/Objective

As a QA Developer, you will be responsible for creating and executing automated tests and maintaining CI / CD /CT pipeline, as well as reviewing automated testing results, participating in creating new features of the automated testing framework, performing functional, regression, and performance testing. You’ll be playing a key role in quality assurance and quality control of the products, work on multiple projects, in a fast-paced, agile environment, and will ensure the quality of products and services.

Essential Functions/ Responsibilities

  • Design JavaScript-coded and Java-coded automated tests and set up the tests to run nightly in continuous integration, delivery, and testing process, check testing results daily, and maintain the tests on a regular basis
  • Develop Puppeteer + Jest + JavaScript and Selenium + TestNG + Java-based frameworks for test-automation with data-driven and page objects approach, make improvements, and implement new features to perform better testing
  • Work closely with Development, Operation, and Implementation Teams to analyze business and technical requirements, functional coverage by the tests, and detect the testing scope efficiently
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues, find root causes of the issues prior to reporting them to Development Team and track the defects in a bug-tracking system
  • Perform effective testing, following best practices and technics of software testing
  • Set up the testing environment and execute functional, regression, system, performance, and integration testing
  • Supervisory Responsibility

    This role will report to the Manager, QA. This role does not have any managerial duties.

    Education and Experience

    • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
    • Proficient basic coding including Java, JavaScript, SQL, Python, and more
    • Ability to apply technical knowledge to varying technical problems
    • Basic knowledge of Agile Methodology is plus
    • Quick learner and self-starter who requires minimal supervision to excel in a dynamic environment

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
