Position Summary

KPMG Canada is looking for a seasoned Senior Marketing Manager to lead the development, management and implementation of marketing strategy, plans and programs for our Advisory practice. This is a fast-paced and high-demand position. It requires an innovative and results-oriented marketing professional who will lead the planning and execution of effective marketing and communications strategies and campaigns that build brand, relationships, and support revenue growth.

Reporting to the Director of Advisory Marketing, this role works closely with practice leadership and cross-functional teams and will collaborate with the broader National Marketing and Communications (NMC) team, geographic marketing teams and other key stakeholders to execute, integrate and amplify business and marketing priorities.

The successful candidate displays exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, has a desire to be hands-on to deliver success, and actively manages stakeholders’ expectations by balancing competing priorities and limited resources.

What You Will Do

Identify and monitor emerging trends and opportunities in the industry, and work with business leadership to build brand, relationships and revenue nationally.
  • Strategic marketing planning, marketing program management and execution
  • Develop and implement National marketing and campaign plans, collaborating closely with support marketing and communications teams and monitoring progress.
  • National marketing activities aligned to support Advisory practice business priorities.
  • Collaborate with their colleagues to create, implement and review the adoption and effectiveness of marketing and communication programs to deliver on the objectives set in the national strategic Marketing & Communications Plan.
  • Consult with key senior stakeholders - National Business Unit and Service Line Leadership and Geographic Industry Marketing Leadership.
  • Enhance market profile, reputation and growth
  • Develop and deliver integrated marketing programs to raise the external profile of the Advisory practice.
  • Devise strategic marketing programs to support lead generation
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement an appropriate mix of activities that highlight KPMG’s value propositions. Typically, this includes flagship thought leadership, PR, social media and digital strategies.
  • Develop and implement key thought leadership projects based on issues in the Industry where KPMG needs and/or wants to have an opinion that will help shape the development of the market.
  • Continuous improvement and development
  • Embrace and drive innovative marketing strategies and techniques, translating the latest service and propositions, into practical approaches
  • Contribute to elevate the overall marketing program in order to foster a culture of continuous improvement and development.
  • Support and develop best practice marketing and communications.
  • Keep up to date with contemporary trends and thinking with focus on identifying growth opportunities to drive the marketing agenda and other activities.
  • Internal network collaboration and resource management
  • Collaborate and integrate efforts with Global, National and Geographic Marketing and Communications colleagues.
  • Access and leverage the wider National Marketing and Communications resources (e.g. Creative Services, Digital and Social Media, etc.)
  • Manage a small team of Advisory marketing members.
  • Budget management and marketing ROI
  • Day-to-day management of a budget and established KPIs.
  • Effective use of allocated marketing program budget and regularly report results to National Advisory Leaders to demonstrate value and ROI.
What You Bring To The Role
  • A marketing professional with 7 to 10 years’ experience leading and implementing multi-channel marketing programs.
  • Diploma or undergraduate degree preferably in a marketing related qualification.
  • Post graduate qualification in a marketing or business-related discipline is desirable.
  • Ability to simplify complex marketing matters to influence and negotiate with stakeholders and translate into client-relevant marketing strategies.
  • Experience in developing compelling value propositions for services/campaigns and creating integrated issue-based platforms both for promoting relationships and generating revenue
  • Demonstrable success in strategically implementing multi-channel marketing programs, with emphasis on digital and social, and analyzing success and providing recommendations leveraging metrics.
  • A proven aptitude for initiative and innovation - a creative thinker who fosters a culture of innovation and experimentation to create value.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal), project management, negotiation, change management and consulting skills to get buy-in and support for projects while balancing multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations / business demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to form collaborative working relationships with various stakeholders across multiple groups and seniority levels.
  • Experience in leading a small team and working as a collaborative team member, including in a hybrid working environment.
  • Self-directed individual with an eagerness to excel, a positive, solution-oriented approach who is accustomed to a fast-paced environment
  • Keen interest and understanding of trending business issues such as digital transformation, the talent war, customer centricity, cost optimizations, etc.
This is a remote/hybrid position.
