Senior Financial Analyst
AV Group NB Inc. is an exciting and innovative company operating three pulp mills in Canada. The two mills in New Brunswick produce dissolving grade pulp for the unique global market of viscos fibre. The third mill located in Ontario, produces high quality kraft paper pulp.

AV Group NB Inc. is currently recruiting for the following position located in Fredericton, NB: Senior Financial Analyst.
Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Business Analyst will take a lead role in management reporting, budgetary control, variance analysis and to provide accurate information to support decision making. The Senior Business Analyst will also ensure compliance with corporate policies and IFRS.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly financial reports within tight timeline schedule to management providing key performance indicators, financials, forecast, variance analysis etc.
  • Annual budget preparation and budgetary control
  • Monitor and report capital and maintenance project spending
  • Keeping track of raw material consumptions and inventory reconciliation
  • Cost analysis, control and what if analysis
  • Compliance of accounting standards and corporate policies and delegation manual
  • Implement internal control
  • Experience in manufacturing industry preferred
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
  • CPA accreditation or working towards accreditation
  • Advanced skills in MS Office (specifically excel) and ERP system (specifically SAP ERP and Hyperion) would be a benefit
  • 5+ years’ relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of motivation, energy and a desire to work in a dynamic team environment
