About our Client

Our client, a well-established manufacturer, has a permanent/full time Senior Accountant position open in their Richmond Head Office. This role will provide support in finance, technology, and administrative functions. This is an opportunity to join an established company who is ON THE GROW! Responsibilities

Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions

Evaluating company ventures/special projects and ensuring plans align with company goals

Serve in a leadership role and ensure day-to-day financial activities are accurate and completed on time

Actively influence business growth, direction, planning, forecasting, and acquisition integration

Work cohesively with senior management to issue monthly financial records

Maintain compliance with statutory reporting, audit, legal and taxation requirements

Monitor KPIs and take corrective action to ensure the company meets its objectives

Oversee and mentor one direct report who handles data entry, office coordination, AR/AP and onboarding of new employees

Qualifications

Successful completion of a Degree in Accounting and a CPA designation or within 1 year of attaining

Minimum 5 years’ accounting experience

Must have experience with system conversions and integration

Strong sense of integrity and personal ethics, with excellent personal judgment

Proficient in MS Office, Excel, Word

Able to work within tight deadlines

Strong communication abilities and effective presentation skills

Fluent in English both written and verbal

Experience with QuickBooks, ERP systems, and accounting databases and software
