Chances Maple Ridge is currently on the lookout for a vibrant and service-oriented Surveillance/Security Officer. Under the direct supervision of the Security and Surveillance Manager and Supervisors, our Surveillance/Security Officer will be responsible for the safety and protection of team members, guests, and company assets. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Greeting guests and controlling access to the Casino
  • Enforcing restricted access by unauthorized persons
  • Monitoring, documenting and reporting internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities
  • Preparing electronic statements via a non-gaming record keeping system
  • Observing cashier transactions, slot drops, and escorts cash and cash equivalent movements
  • Tagging and reporting found property and transferring items to Lost and Found
  • Conducting regular patrols of the facility, interior and exterior as directed
  • Performing identification checks and escorting guests and employees as directed
  • Referring disputes to the Security Supervisor
  • Designated Security Officers may be required to attend to First Aid incidents after completion of an Occupational First Aid course
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Complying with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous security experience an asset but not required
  • Gaming Security Officer (GSO) training and other training as required
  • Serving It Right certification
  • The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
  • Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends and statutory holidays
