Under the direct supervision of the Security and Surveillance Manager and Supervisors, our Surveillance/Security Officer will be responsible for the safety and protection of team members, guests, and company assets. - Greeting guests and controlling access to the Casino
- Enforcing restricted access by unauthorized persons
- Monitoring, documenting and reporting internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities
- Preparing electronic statements via a non-gaming record keeping system
- Observing cashier transactions, slot drops, and escorts cash and cash equivalent movements
- Tagging and reporting found property and transferring items to Lost and Found
- Conducting regular patrols of the facility, interior and exterior as directed
- Performing identification checks and escorting guests and employees as directed
- Referring disputes to the Security Supervisor
- Designated Security Officers may be required to attend to First Aid incidents after completion of an Occupational First Aid course
- Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Complying with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous security experience an asset but not required
- Gaming Security Officer (GSO) training and other training as required
- Serving It Right certification
- The ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- Must be available to work all shifts including days, nights, weekends and statutory holidays
