We are looking for an experienced, service-oriented security professional to fill the role of Security Supervisor.The successful individual will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day activities of the security operations while establishing and contributing to a safe work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities

  • Providing input for team member performance objectives and evaluations and performing evaluations
  • Mentoring, coaching, and training front-line security team members
  • Monitoring, documenting, and preparing statements/reports on internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons and activities
  • Performing monthly departmental compliance audits and card consumption reports
  • Enrolling guests into the Self-Exclusion Program
  • Review incident files and assist in developing in house security protocols and procedures
  • Providing or assisting with First Aid for team members and guests
  • Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments and completing administrative duties as required
  • Developing and cultivating strong working relationships with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and team members)
  • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Maintaining and programming site access and creating Gaming Worker Tags for team members and vendors as required
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed

Education and Qualifications

  • Legendary guest service skills with a “Make it Happen” attitude
  • Understanding of yourself as well as others when communicating with team members and guests
  • A passion for providing Rockin’ It Service to our internal guests in the quest of achieving service excellence

  • A High School Diploma
  • Previous security experience an asset but not required
  • Must be willing to recertify for Use of Force every 3 years
  • Occupational First Aid Level 2 an asset but not required
  • Can understand, speak and write English; fluency in other languages is an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Serving It Right Certification or the ability to obtain a Serving It Right Certificate
  • The ability to successfully obtain a criminal record check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
  • Minimum 6 months employment with GCE

Work Environment Considerations

Regular casino environment, standing and walking for long periods of time and non-traditional work hours.
