We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team to ensure our production team has the ability to run efficiently while producing top quality products for our valued clients. You will manage the relationship with clients, provide design assistance, create and communicate job pricing while working with the production team to ensure effective product flows and resolve manufacturing issues quickly.

You will oversee and monitor projects within a metal fabrication manufacturing environment, from initiation to close out ensuring that project deliverables are within budget, on schedule and at the appropriate quality level.

Proven experience in planning, executing, monitoring, and closing out multiple concurrent projects is a must for this fast-paced role. Your excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills allow you to be a valued part of the organization whether working independently or collaborating as part of a larger team.

This is an excellent opportunity for Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineers who are looking to build a career with a fast-growing Company. Ideally you have a degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering, along with extensive project management experience - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred. If you have hands on project management experience, preferably within metal fabrication, we want to hear from you!

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Optimize, implement, and successfully manage design efficiency and quality standards, ensuring technical feasibility
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
• Manage and communicate changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Build and manage the relationship with the clients
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Meet with clients to clarify specific requirements of each project
• Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
• Perform other related duties as assigned
  

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering is preferred
• 5+ years Engineering experience in manufacturing; including, but not limited to machine programming, experience with and understanding of Laser and Punch machines, CNC aspects, forming, tapping, etc.
• PMP designation preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot production and quality-related issues
• Experience providing cost and timeline expectations on projects
• Computer-Aided Design skills - including but not limited to CAD, Solid Works, “K-factor” bend deductions, working with DXF’s, step files, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong attention to details while focusing on the whole project
