Pricing Clerk

POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Pricing Clerk is to update accurately product prices in the ERP system in a timely manner. Product pricing is an essential component of a sale. As a result, this position is key for successful sales transactions at CanWel.

EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS

• Assist the Pricing Analyst with maintenance of our national advanced pricing model database, which is used for all sales orders in our ERP system, JD Edwards
• Interpret price lists provided by product managers and sales managers to fill templates for uploading into JD Edwards
• Work in collaboration with product managers, and sales managers to standardize price lists for ease of processing
• Provide back up to Senior Analyst to troubleshoot issues related to advanced pricing
• Assist with the development of pricing templates in Excel and Microsoft Access to facilitate processing
• Participate in ad hoc projects as required

• 
  Minimum two years’ accounting or finance experience
• Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Prior experience with creating Visual Basic (VBA) Excel macros is considered an asset, but not a requirement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Access and data entry. Knowledge of SQL and/or JD Edwards is considered an asset, but not a requirement.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy manipulating large data sets
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
• Strong verbal, written, and communication skills
• Ability to manage time efficiently, and work well under tight reporting deadlines
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies
• Strong business acumen

• 
  Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
• Completed courses in statistics, data analytics, and basic SQL development would be considered an asset
