About The Role

We’re looking for a Personal Lines Auditor to join our growing team!

As a Personal Lines Auditor, you will be responsible for determining if risk acceptance, risk improvement and cancellation of underwriting policies are within guidelines. You will work independently to determine if coverage, limits and pricing are in accordance with established company objectives, policies, practices, standards, applicable laws and regulations.

There is 1 permanent role & 1 9-Month secondment/contract role.

Work Location:Any of our West (BC, MB, AB) offices, GTA offices/London or Ottawa office, or ATL offices.

What You’ll Do Here
  • Perform Personal Lines underwriting audits to ensure compliance with underwriting and rating guidelines, and update audit processes and procedures as required. Audit new business, endorsements, inspections, claims, renewals, umbrellas or cancellations to ensure compliance of company underwriting policies/procedures, applicable laws and regulations.
  • Complete required broker audit reviews from start to finish including delivery of the report to the broker and PLM.
  • Provide constructive feedback and recommendations to brokers and/or PLMs/Underwriters based off of Audit findings. In addition, recommendations should be made where appropriate to implement change within Intact to assist brokers improve their results.
  • Coach and serve as a technical resource to Personal Lines Managers and Underwriters. May participate in special projects as required.
  • Complete assigned Focus Audits including delivery of the report to the Regions with constructive feedback and recommendations.
  • Work closely with the Regions attending huddles to share identified trends.
Qualifications

What you bring to the table:
  • University degree/college diploma or a combination of experience and education
  • Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation highly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Personal Lines Underwriting
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be knowledgeable about Company’s policies and standards regarding underwriting rules and processes
  • Must be able to present audit findings and make recommendations
  • A team player
