The Operational Process Specialist will play a key role in the ongoing operational process improvement initiatives of BioScript Solutions and will report to the Director, Operational Excellence and Quality Management. This individual will be involved in process mapping and modelling, analysis, design, implementation and performance monitoring. Improvement projects could range from helping to plan and implement day-to-day corrective actions, to large-scale transformation projects. This individual will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of process simulation models for our multiple businesses.

How you will make an impact

  • process mapping, modelling, analysis, design and implementation
  • preparing, facilitating and presenting findings and suggestions to multiple business units and multiple levels of management in person and virtually
  • developing and maintaining process simulation models
  • assisting with the identification of process improvement initiatives through monitoring process performance data and use of simulation modelling
  • extensive collaboration with all core business and enablement teams throughout the organization
  • planning, implementing and managing change for process improvement projects

What you’ll bring to our team

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years’ experience planning, implementing and managing change for process improvement projects
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in a healthcare, science or engineering related field, preferably Industrial Engineering or Industrial Engineering Technology
  • Training and/or certification in one or more process management disciplines and/or methodologies such as Business Process Management, Lean Six Sigma, or other, is preferred
  • Training and/or certification in root cause analysis, project management and change management are considered strong assets
  • Experience with process simulation modelling using FlexSim is considered a strong asset
  • Knowledge of BPMN 2.0 or other modelling languages
  • Knowledge of pharmacy and/or infusion clinic, patient support program and drug wholesale operations would be an asset
  • Knowledge of provincial college of pharmacy and Health Canada regulations applicable to the pharmaceutical supply chain would be an asset
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 would be an asset

Some travel is required, potentially requiring overnight stays. Mostly between offices in Oakville and Moncton, but travel to other sites across the country may be necessary.
