• Aerotek is hiring a millwright for Saturday and Sunday shift in Chilliwack $40.57* ***Well known company in the industry***
• JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: *
• Assist Millwrights with “whistle chasing” if mill is down to ensure the Hew Saw is kept operational.
• Perform scheduled knife and saw changes in accordance to safety protocol (cut proof gloves) and maintenance requirements.
  
  

Clean and buff knives properly, remove burrs to maintain proper edge.

• Proficiently maintain all Grinders to manufacturers specifications; safely change out grinding stones on all machines as required and ensure cleanliness of all grinders and dust collection systems in the grinding room.
• House keeping; keep all tools and work areas clear for use and ensure oil and debris are disposed of in the correct manner to prevent on site hazardous situations. Always replace guarding after any repair or machine replacement.
• MUST HAVES: *
• 5+ years as a maintenance millwright
• 2+ Industrial exp
• Basic hand tools; sockets, wrenches, hammers-

• WORK ENVIRONMENT: *
• Large outdoor sawmill.
• About 80 employees total. 20 or so on the Maintenance Team.
• This is a mixture of ’grinder room’, whistle chasing and preventative maintenance.
• They will need to clean and lubricate shafts, bearings and gears
• Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
• Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, and tools
• will be using Radio to communicate
• SHIFT:
• Saturday and Sunday
  
  

2:30pm - 11pm (could do 12 hour shifts as he’s flexible)
