Reporting into the Sr. Manager, Sales Planning & Performance, the primary responsibilities of this position are to analyze, report on and drive achievement in Wireline, Data Centre and Cable Sales performance. This role will both measure all performance indicators regarding Wireline, Data Centre and Cable as well as manage and understand drivers of forecast on respective portfolios.
They will identify performance related risks and opportunities and develop actionable recommendations with the support of cross functional partners in Rogers For Business (R4B).
The role will work closely with the Commercial Management, Product, and Finance organizations to understand upcoming changes/plans and ensure the regional Sales, Sales Enablement and cross-functional support teams are engaged and understand contributing factors that may impact performance.
What you will be doing:
- Measure and deliver actionable sales performance insights and recommendations regarding the Wireline, Data Centre and Cable portfolios on a weekly, monthly and quarterly cadence
- Deliver a clear view on trend and forecast to multiple R4B audiences (Sales SLT/ BLC/ R4B SLT); ensuring accuracy of forecasting commitments
- Own weekly forecasts for all sales metrics for specific indirect (non-regional) channels – BCS, Retail, Other channels
- Manage consolidation of regional forecasting from all RVPs/Regional PMs for all metrics; volumes (I/O), bookings, TCV, Margins
- Deliver monthly forecasts inputs to Finance and manage quarterly Commit Forecast cycles for relevant metrics with alignment from senior leadership
- Manage volumetric based inputs for weekly SLT Scorecard package and liaise with key cross functional partners (Planning, Finance, Sales Operations, Sales leadership) for completing inputs
- Drive transparency and visibility between CBU/R4B with weekly forecast touchpoints
- Deliver all volumetric/sales metric commitments for ELT Scorecard (regional performance highlights, funnel insights, top wins, key opportunities, etc.)
- Work with reporting team to develop ongoing reports for Wireline, Data Centre and Cable performance and key business metrics (e.g. segment insights, churn, regional)
- Manage national business review to deliver towards business objectives and results/performance; driving accountability across organization to deliver on key actions to deliver performance
- Lead in building annual sales plan across Wireline, Data Centre, and Cable products and major KPI’s related to respective lines of business
- Establish robust working model to facilitate scenario development with sales and cross functional teams
- Gain cross functional alignment from all key stakeholders (sales executive leadership and other critical partners)
- Develop and provide clear regional expectations (budgets, results, quotas) to Sales and all key cross functional partners
- Support annual sales quota development and delivery within channels (account assignments and quota allocation)
- Represent sales in operating plan development; contributing ideas, quantifying impacts, and prioritizing
What you will bring:
- Post-secondary degree
- 5+ years of experience in management performing at a high level of proficiency
- Strong analytical, financial modelling skills
- Forward thinking with a strong ability to see new trends and quickly translate these trends to the company’s strategy
- Excellent and proven analytical skills, exceptional problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines, and perform well in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Proven ability to exercise a high degree of business judgment and sound reasoning
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
- Proven ability to deliver through cross-functional teams
- Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word
- Extensive knowledge of communication industry i.e. products, services, systems, and tools
