Are you interested in joining a growing company with a focus on industrial engineering research?

As part of our efforts in expanding our services, we are looking for a passionate, driven, and result-oriented engineer who can use cutting-edge Computational Fluid dynamics (CFD) to find new and creative solutions to a wide range of industrial problems. This position requires collaboration with a diverse team of engineers and scientists from different companies to solve complex and challenging engineering problems. This opportunity is for project-based work that could change to a permanent full-time contract depending on the performance and project load.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position requires strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analytical and experimental skills. Experience in research project management is an asset.

Typical tasks may include but are not limited to:

· Develop and execute R&D projects,

· Ability to develop computational geometries and mesh for complex industrial units,

· Perform CFD simulations of various industrial processes such as multiphase, turbulent, non-Newtonian, dense granular flows, heat transfer, combustion, chemical reaction, flocculation, mixing and separation,

· Ensure accuracy of results using engineering and physics fundamentals, identify unusual trends, recommend, and take agreed-upon corrective actions to improve the quality of the results, and

· Prepare technical reports and external papers for conferences and journal publications.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Ph.D. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 2+ years of related experience or an MSc. with 4+ years of relevant practical experience

· Proven experience as a technical project lead

· Expertise with the common commercial CFD software

ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

· Ability to work safely, effectively, and independently in a team environment

· Enjoy helping others and building personal relations

· Excellent oral & written communication skills

· Experience in initiating, leading and supervising R&D projects

· Well-developed critical thinking skills and an aptitude for thinking out of the box.
