At Acura of Hamilton, we are searching for a Junior Accountant to join our team! ! You will assist in the preparation of month-end duties as well as bank/daily/monthly reconciliations.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Posting vehicle deals and reconciliation of schedules
• Review customer deposits and vehicle payments and reconcile to vehicle deals
• Chattel units and process payouts
• Process payout cheques and verify amounts
• Support Account Payables in posting & adjusting Accounts Payable Invoices & issuing payments to vendors
• Communicate with suppliers to obtain & clarify/resolve invoicing issues
• Support in updating Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable including the posting of daily transactions
• Processing travel & expense claims from employees
• Preparation of bank deposits & daily cash report
• Preparing & processing journal entries to ensure proper recording of all business transactions
• Insurance billing compliance & collections
• Assisting with implementation & maintaining internal financial controls & procedures
  

Your Capabilities and Credentials

• Minimum 1 year accounting experience required
• A valid driver’s license with a safe driving record is required
• Dealership experience considered an asset
• Reconciliation experience required
• Accounting designation is an asset
