PHS Community Services Society (PHS) is hiring an IT Manager
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Technology, the IT Manager will oversee the internal IT Support team and day-to-day operations. Working as a member of the excluded administration team, the IT Manager will ensure end-user service is timely and accurate on a daily basis. They will provide direction and support to the team of IT Technicians, managing service requests and workflow for daily operational activities.
The position will work predominantly, on site, with some remote work as required/directed. This position has access to an extensive range of confidential personnel and organizational information.

Responsibilities for the Intranet Coordinator role include (but are not limited to):
- Leads the internal IT support team in day-to-day operations, manages the PHS Support Request System, assigns work and monitors performance.
- Manages IT projects and assigns tasks as required
- Recruits, supervises, develops and mentors IT Support Team members.
- Establishes best practices through the entire technical support process and identifies areas for improvement.
- Manages equipment provisioning, device deployment, user access management, endpoint maintenance and overall improvement of IT resources
- Handles diagnosis and troubleshooting of computers to discover and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Manages back-up of systems and all data.
- Analyzes logs and reported data to discover trending matters and issues.
- Identifies areas of concern (including documentation gaps) and provides recommendations for consideration.
- Generates documentation and user/instruction guides for all internal PHS audiences.
- Ensures licensing management.
- Supports onboarding / offboarding of employees on PHS systems.
- Works collaboratively with external vendor(s) to troubleshoot issues as they arise, maintaining excellent communication with the Senior Manager of IT regarding progress and identifying risk areas to be addressed.
- Provides in-person and remote training to end-users including front-line staff, managers, and administrators regarding use of PHS technologies and ensures process compliance as directed by the Senior Manager of IT.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Education and experience required:
- 3-5 years of recent, related experience combined with a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 products is required.
- Experience with Mac OS X & iOS Platforms required
- PMP Certification would be an asset.
- ITIL Certification(s) would be an asset.
- Strong documentation skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain sensitive and highly confidential information.
- Ability to foster effective working relationships at all levels internally and with external partners.
- Strong problem-solving skills required.
- Criminal Record Check for working with Vulnerable Adults and Children.
