The new HR Coordinator role will provide hands on support to a group of 30 Canadian based employees for the Rubicon Beverage and Shana Foods divisions including the office and manufacturing facility at one location. This role will also maintain general office coordination duties including biweekly payroll.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Recruitment & Onboarding
· Facilitates the recruitment process: create job posting and post on various sites, screen resumes, phone interviews, schedule interviews for hiring manager, background and reference checks
· Initiates the onboarding process by sending new hires all necessary forms and ensuring their proper completion prior to an employee’s start date
· Organizing employee induction programs for all new hires
Employee and Policy Administration
· Creates and maintains employee reports on a routine or ad hoc
· Maintains employee files
· Manage all employee benefit inquiries
· Ensure the employee handbook is current and compliant with all necessary organizational policies
· Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action
· Assisting with providing research for policies, and other human resource issues.
· Answers all HR related questions
· Ensures legal compliance on projects including AODA and Health and Safety
Performance Management & Engagement:
· Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution.
· Support the annual Performance Management processes through collecting, tracking and reporting on completed year end performance reviews
· Assist management with employee relations matters including coaching disciplinary procedures
· Assisting in preparation of employee events
· Create recognition initiatives
· Support employees with their employment concerns
· Conduct the offboarding process for employees
Office Coordination
· Administer biweekly payroll
· Handle day to day office duties as needed
Education & Experience:
· University or college graduate with a certificate in Human Resource Management
· 1 year HR experience in a coordinator of generalist role
· Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
· HRIS experience an asset
· Payroll experience an asset
