We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Worker to join our team. If you have the necessary certification and experience in food service, we invite you to apply and be part of our compassionate and professional staff.

Position Summary: As a Food Service Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our residents are met while maintaining a safe and hygienic dining environment. You will have the opportunity to work in various capacities, including line cook, server, dishwasher, or cook, depending on the needs of the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents following dietary guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Assist with meal preparation, including chopping vegetables, cooking, and plating.
  • Set up dining areas and assist residents during meal service.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Wash dishes and kitchen utensils, ensuring proper sanitization.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth dining experience for residents.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure residents’ dietary preferences and restrictions are accommodated.

Qualifications:

  • Food Service Certification is required.
  • Previous food service experience, preferably in a Long Term Care Facility, hospital, restaurant, or buffet setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • High attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work in various roles within the food service department.
  • Compassion and dedication to providing exceptional care to residents.
