We are defined by the quality and ability of our people and, in the role of Junior Accountant, you will be critical to the success of Enable. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will focus on supporting our finance operations in a number of key areas. As a business that is more than doubling in size annually, we will be able to give you an array of different learning experiences across financial processes.

This is a role for someone who has the drive and desire to develop quickly in one of the most exciting sectors on the planet! Role Purpose

  • Assist with all areas of the AR ledger, including raising invoices, chasing outstanding payments, recording payments.
  • Assist with all areas of the AP ledger, including processing bills, ensuring compliance on POs, reconciling statements, review of employee expenses
  • Assist Sr. Accountant with technical accounting issues
  • Calculation and preparation of monthly HST & GST
  • Assisting with balance sheet and other reconciliations, taking ownership of specific GL codes.
  • Assist with managing a shared Finance inbox, allocating tasks and controlling information flow to ensuring no duplication.
  • To drive efficiency in month end processing, seeking to continuously improve all areas under your remit.
  • To support the Sr. Finance Manager with ad-hoc analysis to support decision making.
  • Use Excel and other systems to continuously improve our business processes and drive efficiency.

Key Skills - Essential

  • Enthusiastic, energetic, driven, reliable, accurate, continuous improvement mindset – a fast learner who wants to be part of something special
  • Experience working on efficient and accurate AR and AP ledgers.
  • Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven work experience in both analytical and technical finance roles
  • Proven experience of executing a controlled and well-ordered financial close process.
  • Be able to work in office, located in downtown Toronto
