As a Tiffany Employee Relations Advisor, you will:
Support the ER function and be the primary point of contact for employee relations matters within Tiffany & Co. Canada. This role will collaborate with market leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and be a consultative partner for workplace accommodations, managing performance-related issues, and employment terminations. Additionally, they will play an active role in developing and maintaining employment policies and procedures specific to the Canadian market.
Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work closely with market leaders and HRBP to implement employee relations initiatives and strategies across the market that align with business objectives
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and disciplinary matters, ensuring fairness and adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations issues, including performance management, terminations, and workplace accommodations.
- Partner with internal legal counsel to mitigate potential employment-related risks and disputes.
- Develop, review, and update company policies, procedures, and employment practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and legislative changes related to employee relations, and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with federal, provincial and local laws and regulations.
Experience:
Required
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in employee relations, preferably in a HRBP or leadership role
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian employment laws (ON, QC, AB, BC) and best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience conducting investigations and managing ER cases
- Ability to build trust and maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive matters
Desired
- Bilingualism and fluency in French an asset
