Fido’s playground is a dog daycare looking for an energetic, fun, dog loving daycare attendant to join our team! Successful applicants must be reliable and flexible to work weekdays. Successful applicants must also be able to drive daily shuttle for our doggy clientele. Fido’s prides itself on continual education of all staff to provide the best enrichment and development for our dog clients’ ever changing needs. All applicants must have a g2 or full G license. This is required for shuttle driving.

Much to everyone’s surprise, this is not an easy job and can be stressful at times. While loving dogs is a good quality, please be aware you will be picking up poop, cleaning pee and vomit as well as on your feet a good chunk of the shift.

We are looking for staff that are easy going, fun loving and not quick to stress out.

Responsibilities include:

● Feeding and caring for dogs
● Keeping the facility clean by following checklists and company procedures
● Supervising dog play groups
● Customer service, completing payment transactions, checking clients in/out
● Shuttling client dogs to and from the facility
● Taking dogs outdoors for breaks and playtime
● Picking up and cleaning any and all dog messes

Job requirements include:

● Must be comfortable around a large group of dogs;
● Must be reliable, flexible and trustworthy;
● Must have valid G license with clean driving abstract and be knowledgeable of Stratford streets.
● High school diploma or equivalent;
● Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals;
● Ability to keep a positive attitude in a sometimes stressful environment;
● Must be able to lift unassisted a minimum of 50 lbs and be willing and able to safely restrain or move dogs of all sizes;
● While performing this job, employees will be standing, walking and active for most of the time;
● Must be available week days as well as the occasional on-call shift.

Applicants with animal handling experience preferred but not required; customer service experience is also beneficial.

*Due to the current high gas prices, applicants within Stratford area will be given priority. We are only able to give part-time hours at the current time and those living 30 mins or more away from Stratford may spend more in gas to get here than what we can give*

Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

Salary: $15.00 per hour
