DIRECTOR of organizational support

(pay band 8)

The Department of Social Development is seeking an individual for the position of Director of Organizational Support. An alternate work location may be considered with a documented remote work agreement.

Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister of, the Director will be responsible for the overall management of the Client Service Delivery Strategic Support Division. As a dynamic leader, you will develop, coach, and lead a diverse team of professionals responsible for providing a wide range of key support services, including implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of services delivered to clients of the Department of Social Development. The Director will also provide strategic direction across four service areas, including long-term care and adult protection; child and youth well-being; income support and disability support services.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:A master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years’ progressively responsible related experience OR a bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years’ progressively responsible related experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Travel throughout the province is required and candidates must have valid driver’s license and their own means of transportation.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates who demonstrate experience in one or more of the following asset qualifications:

  • Leading change / change management

Salary: $103, 844 - $116,948 per annum.
