Current opening in Coquitlam BC for Supply Delivery Specialists!

We are currently looking for Delivery Specialists to work in a growing building supplies company! In this role you would be responsible for assisting the drivers in delivering products to specific customer locations and occasionally assisting in the warehouse. Having a background in Material Handling would be a bonus. You would ensure that the product does not move into or out of the warehouse without proper documentation. The Delivery Specialist position is long-term and full-time and gives you an opportunity to work with an outstanding team and gain amazing experience in a growing warehouse location. Shift: Monday-Friday

Time: 6:00am-2:30pm

Wage: $21+ an hour to start, with a very fast possibility for increase regularly!

Area: Coquitlam, BC

Transit Accessible location

Responsibilities
  • Perform his/her work without risk in a safe manner, avoiding injury to his/her self as well as fellow workers
  • Recognize and report as soon as possible, any unsafe act or condition, or any defect in any protective equipment, device or clothing
  • Remedy if within his/her ability any unsafe equipment or condition.
  • Make sure that the correct method of performing a task is understood and followed
  • Ensures that the product does not move into or out of the warehouse without proper documentation.
  • Perform regular pre-trip inspections of equipment as directed
  • Initiate courteous and professional interaction with customers, delivery drivers and effective communication with fellow employees
  • Assist drivers with deliveries and inventory control

Qualifications
  • High School education or equivalent knowledge base.
  • Ability to handle a variety or orders and deadlines
  • 1 to 2 years of industry experience - beneficial.
  • Must be able to lift/carry and place product without damage (up to 50 lbs.).
  • Experience loading and unloading trucks preferred but not required
  • Experience in Material Handling is a plus
  • You are located in British Columbia
