Customer Service Team Lead
Courtenay BC, Service Center

Asa Customer Service Team Lead, your responsibilitiesare:

  • Sample receipt, preparation of supplies and shipping related duties for all clients in support of the Sample Logistics Team while assisting the Supervisor with coordination of staff and resources for the BC region
  • Provide logistical support to team members at the BC Service Centers
  • Training of Service Center staff as well as providing coaching to existing staff members
  • Assist with biweekly health and safety tailgate meetings and write up of near misses in absence of Supervisor
  • Assist with writing and updating of Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Assist with arranging coverage and participating in the recruiting process for the other Service Centres
  • Performing Total Coliforms and E.coli analysis at the Courtenay Service Center, including completing all applicable quality control requirements
  • Greet all clients in a friendly, positive manner
  • Receive and inspect all external client samples
  • Repack samples and arrange for shipments of all samples to the fixed labs.
  • Coordinate with external providers such as courier services and hot-shots when required
  • Ensure proper daily communication of sample shipments to the fixed labs
  • Prepare bottle orders requests and coordinate delivery of bottle orders
  • Recognize routine and non-routine problems and escalate to the Supervisor
  • Ensure supply inventories are maintained
  • Proactively ensure overall satisfaction of regional client base including communication to project management and supervisor as appropriate
  • Work closely with outside sales staff to grow Bureau Veritas’s market share with existing and new clients
  • Monitor/Calibrate the temperatures of fridges, thermometers and temperature guns

You are an ideal Customer Service Team Lead if you have:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in a laboratory environment is considered an asset.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Ability to work independently as well as engage others when required in escalation of concerns to meet the client needs or to best manage client disappointments
  • Energetic and keen with a positive attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing and adapting to changes are required
