Our Client in the snack Industry is looking for Machine Operator Assistants/Packagers to join our team in Hamilton Ontario

Requirements

• 12-hour Rotating Shifts (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am) including weekends.
• Ability to stand, bend, push, pull and lift 25lb
• Steel toe work boots (CSA Approved with Green Label)
• Experience with using production line type machinery or food processing machinery would be an asset

What You’ll be Doing

• Handling candy trays
• Starts/stops and controls components of machine such as the steamer, drum, vibrator, feeder belt etc.

• Inspects candy and makes adjustments to oil, sugar content, steam and related mechanical components (oil nozzles, etc.)
• Making adjustments to the machine like steam pressure, steamer belt speed, quantity of sugar
• Picking up scrap from the candy
• Responsible for ensuring all products produced meets all GMP and food safety requirements
• Assists with major line cleaning
• Quality control - checking to ensure candy is right colour/consistency
• Lifting bins of candy and emptying them onto the production line
• Follow all company guidelines regarding health and safety
• Responsible for ensuring all products produced meets all GMP and food safety requirements
• General Labour and All other duties as assigned by supervisor
