About The Role
Perfect software lies at the crossroads of user needs, the product owner’s business requirements, and the constraints of technology, time, and budget. The UI/UX design process traces a path from the abstract to the concrete: from general ideas to specific user interface elements and user scenarios.
The User Interface designer is part of the Creative design Team. The team has a mix of UX and UI folks, who are part of the product lifecycle from the inception to the delivery/support phase. As a User Interface designer, you will be expected to balance UX knowledge with the delivery of the UI, including sketching, wireframes, mock-ups, slicing and more. You will be working closely with the Product owner, Developers, Solutions Consultants and BSAs, apart from the user community.
This position is currently remote.
What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with product, development, research, QA, SCs, BSAs, and the rest of the project team to create compelling, interactive experiences
  • Design wireframes, visual interfaces, etc. based on UX research and product vision
  • Apply product standards to comply with the look & feel standards
  • Document relevant style information for developers to apply and QA to test against
  • Work within the end-to-end processes of Symcor’s project delivery methodology

What You Need to Succeed

  • University degree or college diploma in a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • A portfolio which demonstrates your skill set and understanding of design fundamentals
  • An exacting attention to detail and a keen eye for typography and visual hierarchy
  • A solid understanding of how accessibility features integrate with visual design
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (including XD), and an eagerness to learn new tools & concepts
  • Positive attitude with a desire to grow within a collaborative environment
  • Formal training in UX/UI an asset
