Job Description
Our clients at the Toronto Community Housing Corporation require a Senior Training Consultant to create all the necessary training content for the rollout of their HoMES solution.

Key Responsibilities: *

  • The key deliverable of this project is to develop customized or new training content that will complement existing eLearning or training material;
  • Create all necessary training content for the rollout of the HoMES solution to various operational user groups, under the direction of the HoMES Training Lead;
  • Employ adult learning principles, industry standards, advanced technologies, interactive media, skills and techniques (including design/graphic principles), to design/develop/deploy solutions and educational materials that promote blended learning;
  • Engage with HoMES Business Leads, SMEs, and vendor resources to understand the new business processes in order to facilitate the creation of appropriate training content. This includes participation in solution testing activities;
  • Ensure quality is built into all content outputs, in alignment with established TCHC standards and with the off the shelf eLearning products;
  • Participate in training sessions as required;
  • Escalate any issues and risks to the Training Lead and PMO as appropriate.

Qualifications*
Mandatory Qualifications*

  • University degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience;
  • 7 years minimum experience developing and deploying training materials for at least three (3) large-scale, transformative ERP projects;
  • Strong theoretical background knowledge related to adult education theory and application;
  • Knowledge and successful implementation of instructional design practices;
  • Knowledge of change management and organizational development methodologies and principles;
  • Experience in assessment and measurement of training needs specific to changes in business processes and systems.

Preferred Additional Credentials*

  • Experience developing and deploying training components of large, transformative change projects, ideally in the public sector and/or unionized environments
  • Experience in consulting and building credibility and strong relationships at all levels in an organization, with experience gaining buy-in and support on new approaches, change initiatives, and implementation of best practices;
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio;
  • Training certification(s) considered an asset.
