As an education start-up, we pride ourselves on providing a strong academic program that will give students the tools and skills they need to succeed, graduate, and be remarkable in all areas of adult life. We use our experience in elementary and secondary education to create a traditional school setting that manages and adapts nimbly to a changing future.


Our school is run by a Ontario certified principal with 30 years of experience in both private and public schools from JK-12.

We are physically located in Kitchener Ontario

InnovOak is a Ministry Inspected Private School for Grades JK-12 and we grant an OSSD and our own ISHGD


Student Admissions and Recruiting Officer


  • Reporting to the Managing Director - Student Recruitment and Admissions, and supported by the Marketing Management team, our Student Recruitment and Admissions Officer (Domestic) is responsible for the recruitment and admission of students from the Ontario, Canadian, and United States markets. This role works with the Marketing Manager to plan, maintains and executes marketing and student recruitment initiatives by developing and fostering relationships with internal and external partners, in addition to managing the admission process from enquiries through to enrolment. As a forward community facing role, you will also develop community relationships and partnership leads that will help market the school identity, brand, and future connections to local and national institutions (eg churches, local tech companies, coop opportunities, business connections, local and regional post secondary schools, places of worship, tutoring centers, other private schools, public schools, student recreational activities, local government leaders etc). As you recruit, you will be an ambassador for the school brand - building name recognition and future opportunities for relationships)
  • This role provides exceptional white glove, customer service focused on helping parents and external stakeholders in building a positive relationship and strong level of trust in the Mission, Vision, and Values of InnovOak School so they see the value and the excellence of the education we provide. Building trust and solid relationships with prospective students, their parents, and the community is crucial to this role. We are looking for authentic, genuine, and sincere relationship building skills.
  • This role plans and executes high-profile in-person and virtual recruitment events attended by key stakeholders. You will work with internal and external groups to ensure events follow campus-wide policies and procedures and meet the domestic recruiting goals that the school has set.
  • You will seek out opportunities to make connections in the local community to promote the school, build relationships with stakeholders, and open up possible recruitment leads using your own skills and supported by the schools recruiting and marketing plan

Job Requirements:


  • Represent school promoting our academic programs to recruitment partners, business leaders, parents and prospective students
  • Increase domestic enrolment with a focus on specific Grades from JK-12 (our main entry points are JK, Grade 7, and Grade 9 for domestic students)
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective students and their families, treating each with a high degree of importance and respect as you help them through the recruitment and admissions process
  • Negotiate terms of engagement, provide training to recruitment partners and their staff, and keep the recruitment partner contacts engaged with Royal Crown School through regular communication
  • Work strategically with the Marketing and Admissions team to develop potential leads, find influencers, and a variety of audiences to promote the school’s vision and values a a premier educational destination focused both on innovation and traditional excellence.
  • Be visible in the local and regional community, seizing upon professional connection, (eg Communitech) and looking for new ways to build new relationships through the lens of building our public reputation
  • Disseminate communications and activities online using CRM and social media platforms including delivering key messages and encouraging engagement from potential and current students
  • Building community engagement that supports the marketing of the school
  • Implement marketing and recruitment strategies through research and market analysis to maximize domestic student outreach
  • Proactively build a recruitment pipeline (visiting places where parents and students will be a captive audience and partnering with these opportunities to find ways for the school to be or become a trusted partner)
  • Supporting the Principal/Head of School when meeting students and families (arranging details, providing background etc) and when building community partnerships (arranging meetings, making introductions, meeting attendance etc)
  • Supporting the public relations aspect of marketing campaigns when appropriate by helping organize, attendance, event support and promotion (creating fresh content, taking photos of events, posting on social media, event logistics, etc)

Role Qualifications:


  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work from offices in Kitchener Ontario
  • Experienced in relationship building, sales, and overcoming objections as a tool for low pressure sales
  • Exceptional communication verbal and written skills
  • Autonomous self-starter, with the ability to work independently within a team-based environment
  • Aptitude for prioritizing tasks with an attention to detail to ensure information accuracy
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills under ambiguous circumstances to ensure you provide the best outcome for our students while maintaining integrity with our partner relationships
  • Experience working in or exposure to the education sector within Canada
  • Experience working with a CRM (Constant Contact); considered an asset
  • Sound understanding of how to generate leads and build relationships
  • An ability to communicate clearly in English with strong interpersonal skills
  • Drivers license is considered an important asset

Additional Information:

  • This is a fulltime role that will require hours of work that match the availability of parents and stakeholders (evenings and weekends should be expected during recruiting season)
  • Hours of work will be more flexible during the summer months, and in off peak times
  • You will be asked to attend all school events, parent nights, and extra curriculars to provide communications and event supports as well as using these events to maintain parent and alumni relationships
