Senior Graphic Designer

Browns Shoes, a family-owned business established in Montreal in 1940, now with 70 stores across Canada, is synonymous with top international designer collections, luxurious leather goods, and exclusive street savvy fashion for ladies, men and children.

As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to create visually captivating materials that effectively communicate our brand message and engage our target audience.

Responsibilities:

• Brainstorming, coordinating, and collaborating frequently to bring Browns Shoes’ key elements of design and art direction to life.
• Creating & delivering digital assets.
• Able to multi-task on design projects that require both conceptual and functional thinking with a tireless work ethic.
• Maintain brand consistency by adhering to established brand guidelines and incorporating appropriate typography, colors, and imagery.
• React quickly to new information, opinions, and direction to strategically pivot when necessary.
• Ownership of projects from concept through implementation.
• Brainstorming & proposing ideas for various marketing stories.
• Receiving and applying feedback from both creative and marketing teams.
• Creating mockups for various digital assets.
• Retouching & resizing images if necessary for certain deliverables.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Graphic Designer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in graphic design software and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and creative concepts.
• Solid understanding of design principles, composition, color theory, and typography.
• Knowledge of current design trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Ability to interpret design briefs, understand project requirements, and translate them into visually compelling designs.
• Experience with UI/UX design and video editing software is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design ideas and concepts.
• Attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
