The opportunity:

This role provides the candidate with the opportunity to use their analytical and leadership skills to take ownership of each initiative. It also provides increased visibility with senior management by presenting the business case/proposal and answering any questions. Provide financial expertise, consultative advice and analysis, direction and guidance to management for new customer deals/proposals and product initiatives supporting Sales, Product and Solution teams, under the direction of the Senior Manager, Finance.

This role is currently remote.

About The Role

  • Responsible for owning the financial models that support and reflect the overall business case for customer deals/proposals
  • Participate in strategic business solutioning as part of the "core" deal team
  • Provide financial "thought leadership" to each deal engagement
  • Engage other key staff as required (i.e. Operations, Product or Technology) to frame the business/financial approach to an initiative
  • Provide stakeholders with structured framework in which to provide key financial input for the purpose of developing the business case/deal summary
  • Proactive information gathering through discussions and information sessions with stakeholders to understand the strategic approach (i.e. pricing strategy) and scope of the initiative
  • Development and ownership of business case modeling to support executive level decision making
  • Continuous enhancement to business modeling to reflect:
    • changing business environment conditions,
    • industry/market intelligence and best practice, and
    • company-specific revenue and cost drivers
  • Develop and maintain on-going relationships and communication with stakeholders within Symcor (i.e. Sales, Product, Technology, etc…) to promote overall collaboration, adherence to audit requirements, and responsiveness to client requests.
  • Liaison & review of customer initiatives with senior management executives, including presentation drafting
  • Drive initiative to business case sign off, and participate in customer contract negotiations as required

What You Need To Succeed

Education:

  • Professional development: Completion of College diploma/Undergraduate Degree in accounting, financial management or business administration or other relevant discipline and/or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.
  • A recognized accounting designation such as CPA, CA; CPA, CMA; CPA, CGA.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the relevant role

Skills:

  • System skills that include advanced Excel and Powerpoint, including creation of macros.
  • Experience with computerized financial reporting systems and analytical tools including Oracle, etc.
  • Must possess proven Research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
