This support encompasses 5 core processes:Master Data Maintenance – manage chart of accounts and reporting hierarchiesSystem Maintenance – maintain operational data & functionality settingsAccess Management – provision users to functions and dataIncident Management – resolve issues when applications are not working as expectedChange Management – coordinate changes to system or base settingsJob DescriptionReporting to the Manager, Applications Management (General Ledger/Reporting) , the Senior Business Applications Analyst joins the team responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of TD’s various Enterprise Finance (General Ledger/Reporting) applications including but not limited to (insert relevant applications here), etc.Specifically, this position will be responsible for providing first level system maintenance, incident, change support and will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the applications and processes under their area of responsibility.The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and maintenance of a best-in-class production support model. Due to the nature of our user community, flexible support hours are often necessary at fiscal month / quarter and year ends, and periodic on-call support is required.This position requires an action-oriented individual with strong knowledge of finance applications and data flows, demonstrated analytical/problem solving capabilities, strong relationship management skills and the ability to deal with change in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.Key Accountabilities For This Position Include
  • Responsibility for ensuring application availability, data integrity and a positive user experience for supported systems:
  • Proactively manage production environment to ensure stability
  • Maintain/monitor job scheduling, reports, interfaces, queries, etc
  • Identify, investigate, resolve complex support issues, providing updates as per the severity guidelines, and taking an active role in driving resolution for issues, including those outside normal working hours
  • Adhere to audit controls
  • Ensure quality of service meets Service Level Agreements
  • Liaise with Business/Technology stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, define, communicate and validate requirements for changes to finance applications
  • Coordinate system/process changes with technology and business partners
  • Provide SME knowledge of finance applications to relevant business areas and project teams as needed; understand relevant business processes/needs/opportunities and recommend solutions that enable the business to achieve its goals
  • Coordinate Audit requests and responses
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase productivity
  • Contribute to the success of the of the Finance Production Support department through personal efforts to enhance own knowledge and skills; assist others in achieving common goals and objectives, and maintaining a respectful, positive work environment
  • Provide support/guidance to junior teammates as required
  • Ensure procedure documentation is accurate and complete

  • Strong technical background with hands on experience working with Finance applications, specifically General Ledgers Reporting/Business Intelligence tools
  • Sound understanding of data flow, data integrity and audit controls
  • Ability to work effectively in an extremely fast paced and evolving environment
  • Proficient in identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
  • Proficient in MS-Office applications (Excel, Word, Access)
The Following Skills Or Knowledge Sets Would Be Advantageous
  • Experience in a Production Support environment, specifically supporting / implementing finance applications
  • Good understanding of TDBG businesses preferred
  • VBA/SAS/SQL experience (as required)
Education And Accreditation
  • Post-secondary degree in business, management information systems/computer sciences, and/or finance/accounting
  • Accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) or related work experience would be an asset
