The Vancouver Board of Education (VSB) welcomes applications for the position of:

On-Call Secondary Art/Drama Teachers

Only candidates who are fully qualified in this subject area will be considered

The Board’s general requirement is that TTOC’s be available for call-out on 50% of the instructional days in any month.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Education

Undergraduate Degree in Fine Arts and/or successful teaching experience in Art/Drama at the Elementary/Secondary level is required

Membership in or eligible to become a member of the Teacher Regulation Branch (TRB)

Registration with the Teacher Qualification Service (TQS)

Reports/Evaluations (not lesson observations):

Recent Graduates require final Practicum Reports

Experienced Teachers require a recent Teaching Evaluation within the past 8 years

At least 3 Professional References -email and phone numbers

Recent Graduates : Faculty Advisor, School Advisor(s) and your most recent employer. In addition, you may also include Principal or Vice Principal

Experienced Teachers: current Principal, Vice Principal and previous Administrator(s)

  • The VSB has been given approval from the Human Rights Tribunal for a Special Program under s. 42(3) of the Human Rights Code.
