Job Purpose and Impact

The Ruminant Sales Consultant (English and French) will promote and sell a portfolio of our technical and nontechnical products and services and solutions directly to current and new customers in Abitibi-Temiscamingue, QC and Temiskaming, ON Regions. In this role, you will conduct face-to-face and remote sales with new and existing customers (dairy/beef producers) and you will assist in evaluating customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions.

Key Accountabilities

• Establish and build product relationships with territory accounts and distributor field representatives.
• Perform telephone selling and screening to provide input on new markets and product introductions and existing products or supplies.
• Protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted accounts, responding to customer concerns and problems.
• Arrange and provide for shipment and product demonstrations.
• Handle a variety of moderately complex problems, referring to policies and practices for guidance.
• Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Other duties as assigned
  

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of two years of related work experience
• Able to cover Abitibi-Temiscamingue, QC and Temiskaming, ON Regions
• Bilingual in English and French
• A valid driver’s licence
• Experience dealing with animal product producers, interacting with customers (farmers)
• Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or Animal Science
• Experience working in ruminant feed sales
• Experience providing animal nutrition advice
