About The Role

Are you passionate about developing web design systems? Do the words “White labelling” fuel your brain? How about creating clean and efficient REACT code, standards and guidelines, collaborating tightly with UX/UI experts, all this in a multi-brand environment? We’ve got the ideal opportunity for you!

What You’ll Do Here

As a Web developer, you will play a critical role in the mission of iceberg, Intact’s design system. You will report to the Design System Studio Manager and collaborate with our UI designers, Web and mobile developers, and writers. You’ll help spruce up our multi-brand libraries, grow the design system culture, and improve our style guides and documentation.
  • Analyze, plan, develop, maintain and evolve Intact’s design system to facilitate web REACT development.
  • Integrate and ensure that the design system is in line with REACT design patterns.
  • Design, build and maintain highly reusable code.
  • Being the point of contact for the design system team to product and design squads in terms of android development.
  • Coach, mentor, and support process changes across digital product teams to meet accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Support design product streams with platform-related questions and issues.
  • Interpret brand books and build components that can be applied for 5+ brands in a white labelling methodology.
  • Ensure the maintenance, continuous improvement and the justification of the decisions taken vis-à-vis the design system.
  • Promote the updates and enhancements of the design system during weekly presentations, creative meetings, and more.
  • Be an advocate for the design system and participate in design communities within the Lab.
Qualifications

You Should Apply If:
  • You have helped to create a design system and contributed to improving DesignOps.
  • You have a solid working knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG).
  • You have worked for a company that builds and maintains digital products.
  • You are humble and able to freely discuss your strengths and weaknesses (and those of others), but always in a kind, professional and appropriate way.

  • You enjoy collaborating with a cross-functional team.
What You Bring To The Table
  • Expertise in creating and maintaining design systems.
  • At least five years of experience in software development, including three years in building, REACT native products.
  • Understanding of Web Components concepts
  • Examples that demonstrate both proficiency in REACT development and understanding of REACT design patterns.
  • Experience in a multi-team software engineering environment.
  • Experience with Git and Atlassian tools.
  • Understanding of design tools (Figma).
