The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy in Fredericton, New Brunswick is looking to hire a student pharmacy assistant for its Brookside Drive location.

JOB SUMMARY: The successful candidate will work in a small, clinically-focused community pharmacy with exposure to medication counseling, pharmaceutical compounding, methadone maintenance programs, and medication compliance packaging. We strive to provide a great learning environment for the successful applicant with the following goals:

• Exposure to the practice of pharmacy in a community setting.
• Enhance communication skills with patients, employees, and other health care workers.
• Enhance knowledge of OTC products
• Teach skills necessary to work in a retail pharmacy.
• Prepare future pharmacists to be successful in a community setting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· University student applying to pharmacy school or other healthcare related field

- Strong written and oral communication skills

· Comfortable working with computers and learning new software

· Proven customer service skills

· Demonstrated effective time management and organizational skills

· High attention to detail

· Ability to problem solve, think critically, and make decisions

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Part-time hours: 4-10 per week

Salary: From $13.75 per hour
