Operations Supervisor

Location: Prince George, BC

Diversified Transportation has an exciting new opportunity for an Operations Supervisor based in Prince George, BC. This full-time, newly-created role is perfect for someone who is passionate about customer service and is looking to grow their career in transportation operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct the day to day operations of vehicles and operators
• Ensure that all drivers are compliant with Hours of Service legislation and requirements; ensure the timely and accurate completion of all logs prior to review by Management
• Ensure all complaints/accidents/incidents are recorded in real time in the Incident Report System and that follow-up/resolution is completed
• Liaise with the Maintenance Department to ensure optimum utilization of equipment and ensure all levels of maintenance (cleanliness, inspections and preventative maintenance) are met
• Review Key Performance Indicators and work with Operations Manager to develop improvement plans
• Regular reporting on various operational needs
• Perform regular inspections of coaches to ensure quality of cleanliness
• Manage and maintain all driver files to ensure compliance
• Ensure proper scheduling of all drivers for training requirements

Qualifications:

• Previous transportation operations or logistics experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Knowledge of federal and provincial Hours of Service Legislation
• Exemplary customer service skills with previous experience in a customer facing / customer service position considered an asset
• Exceptional analytic problem solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally while exhibiting confidentiality and tact

Salary commensurate with experience.
