Who you are:

The ideal candidate for the Office Manger role is an experienced professional well-versed in various administrative functions such as payroll, AP, AR, and customer service. The candidate should possess the ability to foster a positive workplace through effective communication and innovative problem-solving.

What you will do:

The Office Manager will run the daily functions of the administrative department including some HR tasks such as hiring and interviewing staff, organizing benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. Specific responsibilities include:

· Act as the initial contact for incoming phone calls/visitors and directing them to specific employees/departments.

· Providing general administrative support to all departments and managers.

· Creating, maintaining, and organizing filing system for payables and vendor files.

· Monitoring and reordering office supplies as needed, within the assigned budget.

· Responsible for coding and entering employee’s approved timesheets into ERP System

· Processing payroll according to Employee Culture Book and payroll legislation.

· Handling all AP and AR.

· Assisting with full cycle accounting functions (basic bookkeeping tasks as assigned).

· Helping staff book travel when needed.

· Planning company events.

· Managing of phone system.

· Setting up workspaces.

· Managing Employee’s Club – Banking, ordering & pickup of flowers, fruit baskets, organizing and pick up of supplies for Employee’s Club Christmas Breakfast.

· Maintain and distribute current job listing as required to necessary staff and shop

· Company Administrator for Insurance Carrier for employee benefits for insurance and RRSP

· General Office duties as required: mail pickup, replenishing Petty Cash, Deposit of Cash Payments

Essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma specializing in Office or Business Administration.
  • Experience in Office Management, AP/AR and Payroll.

Asset qualifications:

  • Payroll certification.
