Interior Health is seeking a dynamic Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team for a Term Specific Part Time (0.60 FTE) position. The term of this position is until January 3, 2024, or return of the incumbent.

This exciting Nurse Practitioner position will provide comprehensive primary care in an established and welcoming environment to clients of all ages from the Lower Similkameen Indian Band (Cawston), Upper Similkameen Indian Band (Hedley) and Penticton Indian Band (Penticton). These communities are located in traditional Syilx territory. The clinics have a targeted focus to support Aboriginal individuals. Working with physicians and other members of the health care team, you will be providing full primary care to an established roster of patients along with new patients in need. The goals of this service are to: increase the availability and continuity of primary care services for Aboriginal clients; enhance chronic disease care; and provide holistic patient centred health care that is delivered in a culturally safe manner. In this role, the NP partners with another NP who serves Osoyoos Indian Band (Oliver), and Penticton Indian band (Penticton). Travel between the on-reserve communities is a requirement for this position and transportation arrangements must meet the Employer’s requirements. A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle is required.
