The Company

Founded in 1909, Nordstrong Equipment Limited is a company with a long history of providing bulk material handling equipment and solutions to agriculture and industrial customers. We are an industry leader in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of robust, high-performance bulk material handling solutions. In addition to our custom-designed product, we also design and manufacture a full line of hoisting equipment for truck dump body applications under the NORDIC trade name.

The Opportunity

Are you a Creative Communications Student looking for industry experience? This may be the perfect opportunity for you. Reporting to the VP of Sales and Marketing the Marketing Summer Student will assist in the internal and external rebrand of our marketing materials. This position will help create internal and external branded content, build a social media presence, and create marketing material that helps our customers understand the Nordstrong Story.

The Day to Day

• Create various visual materials for internal and external audiences
• Create, review, and edit various internal documents and marketing related material
• Create and manage social media pages and content
• Manage Google page and reviews
• Collect customer testimonials to create a visual customer experience
• Create marketing material that tells the Nordstrong Story
• Assist in the redevelopment of our website

The Person

• Attending University or college in Marketing, Agriculture or a related program
• Strong writer and skilled editor
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficient in all MS Office (primarily Excel & Word) applications
• Graphic design skills are considered an asset
• High attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
• Highly organized self-starter
• Excellent computer, word processing, desktop publishing, and researching skills
• Ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Understanding of social media and how to integrate it into the business process
• Photography and video production skills considered an asset
• Web design experience is considered a strong asset
• Background in agriculture an asset
• Efficient, enthusiastic and flexible

Please note this is a full-time term position from May 2 – August 26.
