As a Security Analyst you will lead the development and delivery of government’s information security awareness program, ensuring all activity conforms to corporate security policy and procedures and other relevant legislation, and meets the highest security standards for a variety of sensitive information. With your security management and communications experience, you create, promote and support the corporate security awareness program and its components. Highly organized and detail oriented, you exhibit exceptional business analysis and project management skills.

Job Requirements:

• Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in the computer science field; or a valid Certified Information Systems Security Professional certificate issued by (ISC)2; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience leading the development of documentation and/or processes that require significant input from a number and variety of subject matter experts.
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in application development, application support, or application change management.
• Experience in identifying and evaluating risks from a business and technological standpoint.
• Preference may be given to those who possess the following certifications:
  • IT security
    • Certified Information Security manager issued by (ISC)2
    • Certified Ethical Hacker issued by EC-Council
    • GIAC Penetration Tester issued by SANS/GIAC, or
    • Equivalent industry recognized IT security certifications.
  • Privacy
    • British Columbia Information Privacy Certificate issued by the BC Provincial Government
• Preference may be given to those with 6 months or more of recent experience completing formal Security Threat and Risk Assessments and Privacy Impact Assessments of computer systems.
