Yes, you are correct - it is cool stuff.In the role of Geospatial Engineer on this team, you will be working with our team of software engineers to help define and develop our SaaS, cloud-based 3D visualization platform. Specifically, your work will be focused on the ingestion and manipulation of earth observation imagery from various providers and providing GIS-related advice to management and the development team.Some of the technologies you will be working with are ESRI, Satellite/Aerial imagery provider proprietary software, Amazon AWS and the Unreal 5 engine.You will work closely in a team environment (virtually).RequirementsIdeally, You Are Equipped With Some Of The Following

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Geomatics and Geodesy, Geographic Information Systems, or related earth observation discipline.
• 4+ years geomatics-related experience with a focus on earth observation and/or geospatial intelligence.
• Working knowledge and/or project experience with digital image processing with satellite and aerial images.
• Experience working with ESRI and/or an equivalent GIS platform.

The Following Experience And Capabilities Will Also Be Beneficial

• Amazon AWS - RDS, Lambda, Cognito, ECS and Document DB.
• Game development on Unity or Unreal Engine platforms.
• Database design and development with big data and relational environments, such as Amazon DynamoDB, Cassandra, Amazon RDS, Mongo DB or MySQL.
• Development experience building SaaS cloud-based products and/or platforms.
• Python and/or JavaScript/Node JS.
• Familiarity with API development.
• Familiarity with the STAC specification.
• A strong technical software development aptitude.
