We are looking for a skilled Fiberglass Technician Supervisor to fill a full-time/permanent role with a reputable industrial plastic fabricator company in Brampton. Please see below for details and requirements.

Supervisor Roles And Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of technicians while mentoring for the professional growth and development of the team and company
• Ensure operators properly maintain the equipment.
• Ensure preventative maintenance on equipment is adhered to
• Verify appropriate field risk assessments
• Manage personnel; performance reviews, vacation and disciplinary issues.
• Work with Operations Department to assist staffing needs.
• Communicate to management any deviations/risks and coordinate corrective measures
• Monitor production performance to ensure that processes are in place both to maintain department and equipment.
• Promote and assure safe and efficient use of all equipment operations in a manner that will minimize equipment downtime.
• Provide input and work collaboratively with peers and other departments to achieve capital, production and/or maintenance schedules.
• Fills in for the Manager as required.
• Uses Hand Tools and Machinery to manufacture and manipulate fiberglass parts and molds
• Read and follow blueprints to meet the product specifications
• Apply Resin and Fiberglass onto the fabricated molds by way of the Hand Layup process
• Some physical labor involved
• Perform and preventative maintenance on the tools and equipment
• Be able to travel and work at customer facilities for any necessary service calls and equipment installations.
• Communicate effectively with everyone within the organization
• Strive to maintain a safe and rewarding workplace
• Follow all company as well as common sense safety protocols
• Support customers as required
• Other duties as required
  

Supervisor Qualifications

• ***2 years of supervisory experience a must***
• Must have fiberglass technician experience***
• Demonstrates strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Positive Attitude
• Willingness to learn
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent Problem-Solving Skills
• Willingness to work overtime as required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work at heights and if required in confined spaces
• Must have NO Criminal Convictions
  

Pay Rate: $20.00hr- 35hr based on experience
