Reporting to the CHG and Planta Restaurants Sr. Sales Manager, plays a key role in generating event sales and executing events throughout the year.

Events Responsibilities:


  • Plans and executes all events.
  • Oversees successful event execution onsite.
  • Creates BEO’s that clearly states the menu, beverage offerings and the finer details required to execute the event. BEO outlines and creates a clear understanding of the flow and expectations for the Operations Team.
  • Coordinates with culinary and operations teams to ensure all items are on site for events
  • Creates Floor plans for events that require a specific configuration of the space and communicates the vision to the Operations team
  • Listens to guest’s needs and concerns and presents ideas and solutions to their requirements and requests.
  • Responds to guest’s requests and correspondence in a timely manner
  • Tastings & meetings with clients to discuss event details
  • Sources specialty items for guests needs and orders items prior to event
  • Liaison with external vendors required for events
  • Orders any rentals that are required to execute events

Administrative Duties & Responsibilities:


  • BEO’s for next two weeks are posted and ensures posted BEO are the most up to date versions in the location at all times
  • Presents upcoming events at weekly BEO meetings
  • Provides weekly summary of next week’s upcoming events to the team; BEO send out
  • Complete event packages for all events which include: (BEO, Floor Plan, Order & Kitchen Sheets, Custom Menus and Name Cards)
  • Follow up with clients post event to express our gratitude they hosted their event with us
  • Responsible for pulling event receipts, closing events, and update Tripleseat to reflect actual sales daily
  • Collect outstanding event payments (House Accounts)
  • Update menu templates in Tripleseat and collateral to send to clients for every menu change


Sales Related Duties & Responsibilities


  • Responds to event inquires allocated by Senior Event Manager when required
  • Contributes to event sales to achieve projected financial goals by:
    • Assisting with inquiries
    • Upholding the standards of the guest cheque average and event cheque average.
    • Reestablishes relationships with past guests to drive sales in location
    • Establishing new relationships with potential clients by being present onsite at events and engaging with all guests.

  • 3+ years of event planning and execution experience
  • Fully understand and embody Chase Hospitality Group’s can-do attitude, demonstrating a level of passion and dedication where no task is beneath you.
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment
  • A proactive team player that embodies our spirit of entrepreneurship and mutual respect
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Ideally having worked on lifestyle brands or venue-based operations (preferably restaurant based)
  • Professional phone and email etiquette
  • Strong organizational and time management skills and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Proven decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude, flexible and motivated to be successful
  • Dependable and self-disciplined with strong attention to detail and initiative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in G-Suite, with the ability to learn new software
  • Knowledge of catering software an asset
  • Exceptional customer relationship management skills
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends as business needs require
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Higher Education Qualification. Preference for candidates with a concentration in Hospitality, Sales or Events
