ROLE OVERVIEW:

One of Canada’s leading private country clubs, the London Hunt & Country Club, is currently seeking a qualified individual as an Events Coordinator.

The Events Coordinator is responsible for the sales, scheduling, planning, organization, and internal communication of all events at London Hunt and Country Club. They manage the Club’s event calendar that includes member, member sponsored, and club recreational events related to amenities such as golf, racquet sports, fitness, social events and trap and skeet. They arrange for the appropriate room or area, and services to the be provided based on the Member or Guest’s requests. The Events Coordinator collaborates with all other Departments to ensure that the calendar of events is accurate, up to date, and available for utilization.

The Events Coordinator is responsible for and oversees the production of all “Function Sheets” or “Banquet Event Orders (BEO)” for each occurrence. These documents will include all details of an event from arrival to departure as to ensure the appropriate execution of services is provided. They may be required to assist in the management of, or execution of events.

The hours required may vary depending on the event calendar and schedule and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays where applicable. The successful candidate will work an average of 40 to 44 hours per week.

The Events Coordinator also ensures that post event billings are accurate and produced in a timely manner.

The Events Coordinator participates in and assists with the development of the Food and Beverage Department budgets pertaining to events and collaborates on the creation of a marketing strategy for the attraction of events to London Hunt and Country Club.

Although the Club began as a hunting club in 1885, over the years, amenities such as dining, golf, tennis, pickleball, trap and skeet and fitness were added to enrich member experience. WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Since the London Hunt and Country Club is a family focused Club providing our members with an internationally recognized golf course complemented by first class dining facilities, we have high expectations for our events team. The successful candidate will have at least five years of Event Planning experience, ideally in the Private Club or Hotel industry in a leadership role. Ideally, you will have a degree or diploma in event planning or hospitality management. Certification relating to special events, meetings or conference management is an asset.

You will have experience setting KPIs and implementing marketing techniques for event management. You will have strong knowledge of social event planning, corporate event planning, event design, production, and execution in a cross-cultural environment. You are self-motivated and possess professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills. You are available to work a flexible work week which includes some mornings and afternoons during the week, on weekends and on holidays. Completion of the Smart Serve Certificate is required prior to your start date at the Club.

COMPENSATION

We offer a competitive compensation, which will be commensurate with experience. The annual compensation package ranges between $55,000 and $70,000 including a base salary plus performance bonus, gratuity, and benefits.
