Acuren is currently recruiting for CWB Level 2 Inspector for to support projects in the Prairies Region. If you are seeking a dynamic industrial environment with opportunities for individual growth and learning, this is for you.

Position Information

• 7/7 shift rotation approx. 40 hrs./ week
• Valid driver’s license
• Position requires local or willing to relocate to Fort McMurray and/or area (not CAMP/LOA available)
  

Position Requirements

• CWB Level 2 Welding Inspector
• 3-5 years’ experience as Welding Supervisor or Welding Examiner
• Knowledge of pressure and pneumatic testing methods and procedures
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3, B31.1, VIII.Div.1, IX,II, CSA W47.1 and W59.3 codes is an asset
• Experience with ABSA Pressure B welding is preferred
• Knowledge of NDT methods (x-ray/radiographic, mag-particle, liquid penetrant, etc.,) is an asset
• Observes work in progress to assure conformance with requirements and acceptable workmanship
• Inspection of process piping, power piping and structures from material verification stage to final commissioning and installation
• Utilizes applicable procedures, codes, and standards to evaluate test and inspection reports, recommending acceptable or rejection/or rejection
• Experience reviewing Work Scope Packages
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies
