After-School Contract IT Position

1to1 Therapy Services is a nationally accredited service provider with Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Behaviour Analysts, Psychologists and Registered Dietitians working on an interdisciplinary team providing services at our Markham and Stouffville Clinic locations, as well as in the community, homes, private schools and daycares in York Region, Durham Region, Simcoe and the Greater Toronto area. We are currently recruiting to fill the position of Instructor Therapist. We are looking for therapists for our Markham Clinic.

Available Shifts

Shift 1: Monday, Wednesday, Friday

• 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm ( Total of 12 Hours Weekly)

Shift 2: Tuesday - Thursday

• 4:00 pm- 8:00 pm ( Total of 8 Hours Weekly)

Shift 3: Monday - Friday

• 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm ( Total of 20 Hours Weekly)

Key Responsibilities:

• Reports directly to the Manager of ABA Services
• Implementing applied behaviour analysis (ABA) teaching procedures and intervention strategies with individuals with autism ranging from age 18 months to 18 years of age.
• Responsible for delivering direct service
• Assists in preparing teaching materials
• Monitors the learner’s progress through data collection
• Participates in treatment planning with the interdisciplinary team
• Liaises with parents
• Follows agency policies and procedures

Requirements:

• A degree in psychology or related field or a diploma in a behaviour science program (e.g. Behavioural Science Technology Diploma, Autism Behavioural Science Certificate, Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree)
• Excellent communication and analytic skills, with strong organizational abilities
• Experience in implementing ABA teaching strategies with children with autism, learning disabilities, and related exceptionalities is considered an asset
• Must be able to lift and transfer 50 pounds
• Ability to connect with children and work successfully with various needs and abilities
• Ability to work cohesively with team members and liaise with families
• Security check with the police through a volunteer screening program
  
• Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (E.g., face shield, mask) as required
