Specific Accountabilities

Compiles, verifies, records and processes original equipment manufacturer (OEM) warranty claims and OEM commercial concession claims in accordance with established procedures and schedules, using manual and computerized processing systems.

Works closely with operations, materials, and customer service to provide cash payment details for vendors and central finance to allow for timely and accurate payments.

Optimize cash flow with ownership of timing of claims under the current CF34 -8 OEM agreement.

Provides OEM cash forecasting reports, and acts as main point of contact to resolve past due credits.

Prepares royalty and licensing reports on a quarterly basis

Monitors and reports on various general ledger reconciliations such as the accounts receivable accounts tied to OEM claims, royalties, and costs left in wip.

Researches and provides analysis on business unit or segment financial information for the appropriate management group.

Identifies accounting problems, researches possible solutions, forms conclusions to present to members of the management team or other individuals involved and processes corrections accordingly.

Participates in Continuous improvement activity to streamline, automate and improve the various steps in the claim and reporting process.

Produces a variety of ad-hoc reporting. Assists in preparation of reports for internal reporting requirements.

Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.

Carries out special projects as assigned.

Technical Requirements

Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices.

Advanced proficiency with Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and financial software.

Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, finance and accounting principles, internal controls, purchasing, inventory, and cost accounting.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Excellent communication skills

Ability to display initiative and sound judgment.

University degree in commerce, business administration, commerce or related field; or equivalent.

Designated or pursuing a recognized professional accounting program (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA); or equivalent is preferred.

** This role spans pay grades 6, 7 & 8. Placement in a grade will be dependent on knowledge, skills and experience.
