Position Information:
The position entails assisting the Capital Projects department at the hospital in managing the P3 facility management contract and with the management of hospital capital projects. This includes direct oversight of day to day operations of the service provider and assisting in the contract management of the P3 agreement. The coordinator will manage small to medium size projects from planning to design and construction. In addition, the Capital Projects Coordinator is responsible for the property management of the Medical Professional Building owned by Woodstock General Hospital. This responsibility includes handling contractor maintenance agreements and resolving building/equipment emergencies on an ongoing 24/7 basis and will act as a liaison between Woodstock Hospital, suite occupants and outside contractors called in to complete repairs. Also, the Capital Project Coordinate will complete weekly visual inspections of the on-site CHP unit.

Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Possess a Diploma or Degree (preferred) from a recognized Facilities Management,

Architectural Technologist, or Engineering program or have applicable work experience.

  • Minimum 1 to 3-year experience in Facility Management
  • Strong knowledge on building maintenance, mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
  • Superior Interpersonal skills and communication skills in both verbal and written reporting
  • Solid understanding of complex drawings, specification and other technical data are essential
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively as a team member
  • Experience managing sub trades
  • Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle a complex workload
  • Knowledge of applicable Building Codes, regulations and industry best practices.
  • Able to use computer programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Excel, and Word
  • Building automated systems or computerized maintenance management system experience would be an asset.

Physical Demands
Responding to tenant calls which includes inspecting problems outdoors (in all-weather/seasons), on top of roofs, and mechanical and electrical rooms. Complete small tasks: light bulb changes, faucet cartridges, replacing ceiling tiles, moving materials as needed, ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb a ladder.
