Role description:

Arcadis is looking to hire a System Engineer who Is responsible for the day to day running and optimization for specific aspects of local Hosting and server infrastructure within the company with a passion to drive and execute Digital to the core of everything we do. Note: This is a Global role and Ideal candidate can be based anywhere from Canada, USA, Brazil, United Kingdom, Netherlands, India and Philippines. Candidate can work Remotely/Hybrid depending on local country compliances.

Role accountabilities:
    • Is responsible for the day to day running and optimization for specific aspects of the server infrastructure (e.g. Storage, Virtualization, Application Presentation, Physical footprint, Server facilities, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File/Print, backup and DR).
    • Assists with product evaluation and testing, research into emerging technologies and provide input into the service line strategies as required.
    • Participates in the definition of the plan Hosting wants to achieve.
    • Applies technical and business knowledge toward ensuring that appropriate solutions are developed and deployed to meet business requirements.
    • Accesses and reviews infrastructure, providing risk assessment and opportunities for continuous improvement.
    • Designs new solutions when required to fix potential issues or mitigate risks.
    • Installs, configures, tests and maintain operating systems and systems management tools.
    • Writes and maintains custom scripts to increase system efficiency.
  • Service Levels:
    • Provides 3rd level support
    • Involved in the crisis management team for high-priority incidents impacting the domain services.
    • Is a key stakeholder in determining whether a new release affecting a service in production is ready
  • Key Profile Requirements
    • Has experienced knowledge of relevant technical systems & tooling,
    • Has excellent analytical skills. Successfully handles complex issues, is consistent and decisive (anticipates at problems that might affect the success of key processes).
    • Service delivery with partners and relevant Tech stakeholders
    • Server infrastructure optimization with Local Hosting Manager and partners
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Over 8 Years of experience in System Engineering
  • Autonomous and acts as a mentor and/or can train the other engineers.
  • Provides clear goals for all areas related to local Hosting in a project and develops steps to oversee their timely execution
  • Can act as a project manager for delivering Server and Storage internal solutions.
