Senior Data Analyst/Computer Support

Delta is seeking a highly motivated, accomplished individual for the position of Senior Analyst to administer our Administrative CIMS Software and IBM iSeries computer system, to integrate the iSeries data with other systems, development, support, District reporting and data analysis.

Reporting to the Information Technology Services Manager, the Senior Analyst’s responsibilities include:

  • Administering IBM iSeries general daily operations.
  • Building and maintaining automated data exchange processes between IBM iSeries and internal and external third-party servers.
  • Building and maintaining Sequel 400 reporting and data analysis, client reports, and data extracts.
  • CIMS web server application support and updates.
  • CIMS Core and web-based application support.
  • Managing annual start-up and year-end rollover of CIMS data for student, finance, and employee systems.
  • Developing and maintaining various CIMS user and process documentation for various applications within the student, finance, and employee modules.
  • Training of various staff groups relating to specific CIMS web application modules.
  • Overseeing Ministry of Education student reporting and data submissions.
  • Participating in District working groups and committees as required.
  • Communicating District CIMS software requirements and enhancements for all CIMS products to vendor.

Qualifications:

  • University degree or College diploma in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exemplary work ethic, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • An in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel.
  • Working knowledge of the IBM iSeries server and DB2 database administration is preferred.
  • Experience in an educational environment is preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of CIMS software and Sequel 400 software is preferred.
